Default crank pully probs, need quick help

Hi

need some help or advise quick on my '95 impreza

have just got in and when i pulled up on drive heard a wierd noise so poped bonnet and went to investigate the noise, looked down and the lowest pully (believe its the crank pully) is as though its wobbling slightly on tick over but if i rev it slightly it stops and runs straight again. Any clues on why?? do the puulys norm come out of line or cud it be the cranks slightly bent?
Need to know as soon as, as i do a fair bit of motorway driving and dont want anything bad happening.

Thanks

do not run the car ! i recommend a new crank shaft pulley and woodruff key. Had the same thing myself and it is the crank shaft pulley damper that fails. Chris

It might just be a case of tightening the bolt If you caught it in time
Or you may need a new/good used pulley and new key.

Mine came loose and the powersteering belt came off wilst driving (so no steering!! ) refitted the belt and tightened the pulley to get me home and 2 miles later it did the same.

One used pulley and new woodruff key later and all is sorted
Both were totally mullered so the pulley must have been slightly loose for some time.

I do know of one guy that totally feek'd the end of his crank with a wobbly pulley
