Can an OE dump valve be used as a VTA??
Dumb question perhaps,
but just wondered why people buy aftermarket vent to atmos dump valves, when you could potentially just pull the pipe off the OE valve?
Would it make as much noise?
Would it damage the OE dump valve?
Thanks for any replies

you would have to block the pipe that you pulled it off, ive have used my tas recirc valve as a VTA once or twice while testing in this purpose

Sorry, was taking the fact that the unused pipe back into the inlet would be blocked as read!!
So is the reason people don't do this because they are more after the woosh noise from the dump than the pops and bangs from the exhuast?!
