I got my MY00 back from the dealers today for the second time after having a new Lambda sensor fitted £140!
The first time I had to have a MAF sensor fitted 130!!
Finally the ''check engine'' light is out.
Coming back from the birds tonight on the motorway I thought I would check it out.
Doing a steady 90mph in 5th and it is back to its old tricks, I am literally rocking backwards and forwards in my seat. The turbo is coming in and out.
Can anyone tell me whats going on?????

HKS Hyper Cat back Exhaust
HKS Panel filter.
Please help.......

have you tried putting the standard DV back on, could be a problem with the HKS BOV not holding boost pressure.

just an idea anyway!

Not without getting hold of the car myself. It's impossible to diagnose problems like this over the internet, the best we can do is offer educated guesses based on the information you give us. As things stand you haven't really given us enough.

Does the car run fine at other speeds, and accelerate cleanly through the gears?

As has already been suggested, the first thing to try is getting rid of this and refitting the standard valve.

Is this a full decat? If so it may be promoting boost oscillation. Refitting a standard exhaust (if you have access to one) would be another valuable diagnostic step.

Is this an oiled/mucused or dry item?

We only stand a decent chance of helping you if you give us the info we need chap. Ultimately though there's only so much we can do via the power of the internet. Work through the above and see where you end up.

Thanx Greasemonkey, I still have the main CAT on.
The air filter is oiled. Also I run on optimax.
It runs smoothly through 1st and 2nd gear, but I get to 3rd, 4th and 5th and it does the same ''Rocking movements''.
If I take it back to standard will I have to get the ECU reset??

Just rung R.N Goldens of Huddersfield now.
They have told me to take it up today and leave it with them until tommorow.
I will let you know how they go on.

Was about to say that.... sounds like overboost.

Give the wastegate solenoid a clean with some brake cleaner. Instructions on here somewhere, do a search.

Well the Dealer rang me up this morning to tell me that my car is ready,
They have fit a new Boost cortrol solenoid (like you guys said).
Lets just hope the problem is solved. Pick the car up at 2pm.

Have you got the AE802 ecu still in it ? If so try an ecu from a MY 99, either the AE800 (which is best) or an AE801. Just a thought

I had a sort of pulsing boost on my MY00 - having had the MAF & O2 recently done - cleaned the boost solenoid out with brake cleaner - as suggested on here and it was fine afterwards.

Can someone put a pic up with a popinter to exactly which bit of gubbins is the boost solenoid please, mine pulses slightly too!!
