Unhappy Apexi FC Commander

Just bought me a new Scooby on a 1998... :-)

Fitted with a Apexi ECU mapped to 1.25, Pot 3 Boost, and a Apexi FC hand commander...

Seems that when i try to accelerate, the boost gets to +0.8, then kicks back to +0.6 and up and down.

Seems there is a limit set to the amount of boost..and seems its not tunned correclty..

Does anyone know who can tune the FC Commander? What kind of costs should i be looking at?

Sam

Andy F in Edinburgh seems to get the vote around here. He charges £180 for the first mapping session, and after that, £50 or so each for adjustment. i'm having mine done hopefully in the next month, provided all my parts turn up in time.

Tut tut Cheryl, you know the rules about advertising yet you blatantly ignore them!

Sam, unfortunately there are a lot of people claiming to be able to map the power fc but do not have a lot of experience with subaru.

if i were you i would contact bob at BRDevelopments, he is i would consider the best mapper for scoobies in the south and very close to you.

getting the wrong map could cost you an engine.

You've just spoke to Branko @ BRD. Nice chap isn't he . Get Bobs e-mail and speak to the organ grinder and not the monkey... may have more joy.

So if there is another Scooby with an FC that needs to be looked at...give AndyC a shout...otherwise hes hoping towards the end of July...

Gives me enough time to sell mY monguese exhaust(think thats how you spell it) and get me a Blitz Nur-Spec..... ;-)

Lol! He's actually a decent enough chap, and also quite helpful. He's been patient with me when I've needed to pick his brains and weigh up various options. BUT he is straight to the point. If he doesn't deal with a product you're seeking info on then I'm sure he want hide the fact that he'd like to get rid of you so he can spend time with people more interested in the products and services BRD specialise in.

Andy...(some advise needed)

When i drive my car...it easily gets to 1.2 bars in 2nd and 3rd gear, knocking near 7...but when i may be on a motorway in 5th the boost jumps from 1.25 down to 1.01 and up and back down again. has the jumping got anything to do with Fuel Cut off? after hard motor way driving noticed that the knock was reaching 15....is this not good?

All i did my self was increased the Boost duty from 60 to 64 and it made the diffence of the boost avaliable from 1Bar to 1.25 bar in lower gears, noticed the speed increase alot..but as mentioned, i get a problem when driving up the gears for the extra boost needed...

My Car's still not mapped as of yet...

Andy's still awaiting on his ECU's...so if there is anyone who needs there car mapped and requires Andy's help...can you please let him know so that i can get my car done at the same time...(as he requires two cars

Though i am seriously considering selling the Scooby and getting an S3...

Driving to Scotland is not affordable...as its 450 miles there 450miles back...+ more petrol for the tuning....
