I reckon cf is about the same weight (little less) but about 10000 times the price and looks sh*t (strong though) IMHO.
Ra's have no cenral locking, ac, boot carpet. I hear they have thinner windows (??) and I'd asumme there would be no, or very little sound deadening.

I think the STis have alloy wishbones, probably not the WRXs though.
Other than that I think it's down to less toys and sound deadening and maybe thinner glass.
If you look at the weights, an RA isn't that much lighter than a std. UK Impreza.... depnding on the year and selection of toys fitted.

ok, thanks guys. i have air con and the rest of the usual, so in terms of extra weight, i have abs, a/c, metal bonnet, possibly tail gate, wings, central locking, sound deadening and carpets??? all of that would probably weigh close to about 15-16 kilos which is quite a lot considering! it could be a possiblity doing this, but where on earth has alloy wings?! i've seen ad's for the bonnets, but the wings, or even tailgates!!!
thanks again
thanks again

I think overall the RA's are some 60kg lighter than a standard car. Not sure if thats a UK or JDM.

When we removed everything from a pug 205.... and I mean everything bar the dash, gearstick, handbrake and doorhandle each, I doubt you could lift the pile of rubbish left over (If you could get hold of it all). I only hold back on my car since I want it to look standard.
