Auto meter oil pressure gauge
Hi all
While im sorting out my alternator problem, ive decided to try and fit my oil pressure gauge. I was told that you need to get another part from the likes of Scooby mania to fit as it hits the alternator. Ive just fitted the brass fitting kit that comes with the gauge and all seems well.
So was the above advice done on the fact that the people hadnt removed the alternator?
Also, the electric plug thing is lying loose in the car. is that ok. How will the car no what the pressiure is? Am i missing something for that to plug into?
Please help
Johnny

Anyone??
Ive now fitted the switch to the block and checked the height of it compared to the origional and it matches the height. Still am worried that the wire that goes into the origional wont be used. Does the car need to no the pressure? i.e ecu oil light on dash?
Please not that its a mechanical gauge, not electric.

Right.
Its now fitted and running.
I just started the car from cold and the psi is at 95. Is this normal?
Also, the pipe from the switch in the block to the gauge is full of oil. Is this also right?
Please help
