Okay....All works..but for some reason i am not getiing a reading on my ID meter after connecting it to the Speed Senser cable B135 connector 3...
How can i confirm that this is the cable that sends the reading to the speedo meter and is for the road speed?

Hi,

Never looked at the details too closely, you may be correct. Perhaps lot of info is common. The link came via a friend who spends a lot of time surfing the net.

Spoke to Subaru....

Apparantly the Vehicle speed sensor cable which is a purple wire according to Subaru, also goes into a connector B153, according to the wiring diagram they sent me...

The have sent me a blown ot diagram of this connector B153 and it looks like spaghetti bolognaise! Does anyone know how i can get to B153?

However there were not able to tell me where this wire connects into the ECU...only that its purple!!

MTN, thaks tried that link....but it seem sin correct for the 98 model...as my connectors for the ECU don't look like that...

If you look above at bruce's link..thats exactly like what i have...but i get no reading from the Speed Sensor, and subaru also said the wire should be purple, this i think was green..

you could allways pick the speed sensor out put up from the plug in the sensor on the box...

they will be

+12v
Gnd
Signal (+12 Hall or Frequency depending on car)

not sure whats what tho.

B135 pin 14

which is the middle block (smaller of the 3 yellow connectors) & is the 14th hole. As you look at the ECU with the yellow connectors, it should be the 3rd wire from the top of the middle connector on the bottom row.

That was for my UK MY97 which is the same ECU as the MY98.

*****EDIT******

OK forget that, that's the wire for engine RPM.

I'll bet my coat...............
