Default How does the Apexi power FC compare to other ecu's

As the title suggests how does this compare with other ecu's such as GEMS,link, motec etc and is it a piggy back unit or a complete ecu replacement?

The power FC is a complete ECU replacement. It can either be programmed using a FC Commander, or by software FC-Edit (expensive).

As for comparisons, the Motec is the preferred ecu for the serious tuner. Gems is also popular. The downside is that these can be expensive.

The link has a mixed review, and I have had no direct contact with it.

I'm running with the Power FC and have been happy with it. especially with it's monitoring ability with the FC coommander.

I only run Motec but thats all I can map! Never tried anything else and no plans to at present. Motec does everything perfectly.
