Hope you can help....

When sitting in traffic with the aircon on and the engine temp rises the aircon shuts off, the fan works but thats it! when you start moving again it comes back on!

Any ideas?

Could be low on refridgerant-best thing to do is find a local air con/fridge person to recharge it an see how it goes.Cost me about £35 last time-i have since found out that my nearest dealership uses him to do their air con work,and charge at least double!!!
