no remapping neccesary. just 25bhp increase with upgraded centre pipe and rear box.

will fail mot just about but go to friendly garages etc!!!
got 2 yrs till it needs an mot anyway.

enjoy

I thought the general opinion was overboosting and boost spiking? Although if we are talking just centre decat, wont the one in the downpipe will clean enough to pass the MOT? Not an expert here BTW, just going by what I've heard

I'd be interested to know this as well.

I also have an 03 Sti with PPP and after two classics I'm struggling to enjoy the cars performance...>300bhp?,then I'm a banana

I've recently replaced the resonated centre section with a straight thro Hayward + Scott pipe, coupled with a TSL group N tailpipe, which seems to have improved throttle response somewhat..but I'm still very disappointed with the cars overall power delivery characteristics.

..ooh!,and don't get me started on the gearbox

Jon

sti's have 1 cat. non sti's have 2. u need to replace both for extra power. the one on the down pipe is the big one. it will pass the mot with 1 cat but it wont have 25bhp more power.

if you de-cat you will HAVE to get a remap otherwise you will have over boost problems, look at getting a higher flowing cat and save yourself the mot problems

I am

Sti's have 2 cats when they get ppp'd they get one cat removed and a sports cat in the downpipe.
