clutch change on a my95uk
my clutch is on its way out.im planning on getting a new one on friday.thing is do i have to get the flywheel skimmed if the clutch is still working before the change.and do i have to get a new spiggot bearing or whatever its called?
its just i have already spent a lot of cash in a certain garage and i dont want to give them anymore than i have to.

You/they won't know until you gat the box out and the clutch off.
I changed mine on my race Impreza. The flywheel face looked ok to me and i fitted an AP Organic unit. Put it all back together and it works really well, lots of very hard standing starts, no probs.
If you want absolute peace of mind it will be a new/skimmed wheel and a new pinion ball bearing, and remember to fit a new thrust bearing on the clutch.
All ££££££££££££ I know.
