![Question](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/icons/icon5.gif)
My MY99 Sport has the past couple of mornings only started on what seems like only 3 cylinders! After a bit of coughing and spluttering everything seems to kick back in as normal. Is this likely to be just a simple problem such as HT leads/spark plugs etc... or could it be something more serious?
Any advice would be good,
Cheers, Ben

Hi Kev,
I know what you mean, I'm having the same problem. If she is running rich as mine is then it could be overfueling. In which case start looking at the fuel lines for a blockage or the fuel pressure regulator, I'm changing mine today, just waiting for the part to turn up.
to give you some further reading and see if you are having the same problems as me. Have a look at www.imprezasport.net in the tech forum and have a look at all my posts (user name Celtic Dragon)
Further pointers you may wish to check (from my pains)
Check all the voltages at the ecu
Check lambda sensor
Check air and fuel filters
Check valve clearances
Check Maf sensor.
As for the HT side, you could take each lead and see if it sparks when you turn the engine over. I changed all the Ht leads, plugs and coil pack to eleiminate my problem and it was wasted money.
