body damage - comments please !
Yo all.
Have a blue MY04 WRX PPP 4 door in blue and love it. My wife, bless her (really) had a little scape the other day with the side of the garage door post. The damage is on the off-side rear bumper area
The damage is as can be seen in the following two pictures:
(note the red 'here' - there is a patch of damage which has left the bumper and is on the body work - not really a dent as such, just a scape).
Here is another view:
Oh - I'm in the Reading area by the way.
***********
Went to local dealer who do not have a body shop. They gave me a couple of names, one cheap one expensive. Went to the cheap place early today - no one turned up - not happy!
The 'expensive' place is a main line dealer body shop and that might be an option. Thing is I really do not want to put this through insurance - want to save that for the big one
So, what do you think of the damage: How bad is it. How would it be fixed or repaired, and would this differ depending on if it were a main dealer body shop vs a 'one-man-band' set up.
There are other complications, I'm busy, we have a baby so being without the car for a time is difficult. ...So ... is this the sort of damage that could be fixed by someone coming to the house (i.e. a mobile repair man ???).
Any help or advice would be very much appreciated!
thanks
Mark

Thats not too bad, decent bodyshop will sort that out for £100- 200.
My wife when reversing out of the drive hit the gate and demolished the wall which was attached to it. Took me a whole weekend to rebuild the wall ( not a bricky). Car didnt cost a thing, because somebody hit the back of our car a few weeks later and their insurance paid for new bumper and boot lid
Women hey!
