Default STi-5 not all their.!!!

Hi guys - hope you can help...
Had my STi parked up a while (2 months) but recently feels like its not picking up speed between 1000-3500rpm like it used to...?
Their is no juddering or missing and no CEL's are flashing on the dash - just not all their... also sometimes in a high gear/low Speed it struggles to pick up now and then...
any ideas....?

Cheers
p.s. car is all standard apart from Decat S/S Exhaust

Very likely to be the o2 sensor in the downpipe. it governs fuelling off boost and will cause the car to run rich if it fails, hence the slow pick up. Be very careful with the MAF on this year of car, so many STi 5's have gone bang from this.

When I bought mine the first thing I did was change the MAF and o2 sensor.

Also worth doing an ECU reset and seeing if the idle goes dodgy. If it does, its likely to be one of the above sensors.

PS - you should be using optimax and booster to avoid the pistons popping out Im serious too.

When it went bang did they change the MAF sensor?! Its normally the root cause of the problem, as they run lean when they fail. I know a number of people who have had rebuilds, only for them to let go again and all due to a £75 sensor.

Xtreme scoobies will get you either sensor, think the 02 is around £100 or a one from www.cats-direct.com for about £40 but might not last as long.

It could be a number of things but these are the most likely and easiest to rule out. I like to change them every couple of years as good practice.

Whe I had the problem I fitted an AFR, but just bought a new 02 sensor in the meantime and it solved the problem.

Pm me if you need more help and I can guide you through it

PS AFR meter is an Air Fuel Ratio and plugs into the 02 sensor to show what its doing.
