Defi control unit problem

Defi control unit problem
Can anyone help, I have a set of Defi dials (Turbo, Oil Temp and Oil Press) which all seem to work OK, the problem is that when the ignition is on the middle dial shows a red light and buzzes as soon as the car is started the light goes off and the buzzer stops. I remember when they were installed I was able to push the play button and the up arrow button on the control unit and the buzzer would stop but this does not work any longer. I've tried a new control unit but this has not made any difference.
Anyone got any ideas?

I'd think not: it's a low oil pressure warning light, so if the engine isn't running, it will have no oil pressure, you turn ther ignition on, it senses that, and buzzes.
Try an e-mail to Defi in Japan.
I did, when I had a problem and they were VERY helpful in English too!

I have 3 Defi BF gauges as well.
If the clocks have been totally powered down then they will have lost any data recorded, therefore when you press play now nothing happens because there is nothing to play back! Try pressing record whilst they are on, check playback, turn them off then try pressing play,if you only record a couple of seconds (enough to fire her up) then when the time has expired they will reset themselves after this short period (I think thats how they were operating) the oil pressure will always signal the fault because your clocks are wired to operate when your ignition is in the ACC position, the only way around the problem is to rewire the +ve from this clock to a wire rendered +ve on Start.
Hope this works.
Dave.
