Does anyone know if a STi 8 turbo (VF34) will fit straight onto a 2004 WRX without modification (i.e. oil & water pipes etc) as i believe the standard turbo (TD04?) runs out of puff at about 280bhp, also would my injectors be upto the job or would it be best to change them for STi items as well, any other comments or suggestions about getting more power out of a standard WRX would also be welcome.

Thanks in advance

Hi mate, i believe the turbo should bolt straight on, however I would definitely recommend the STi pink injectors, also a fuel pump and a decent panel filter wouldnt go a miss, along with the obvious decat. hope this helps

Who told you that factory STI turbo is VF34?
Euro spec STIs have VF35 as standard and yes you need STI injectors in any case with VF35 or 34 and if you are going for higher boost an uprated fuel pump.
Our 380cc injectors are not enough even with the TD04 and high boost.
