Currently my engine is rocking in situ when its running more than is normal. I'm going to inspect the rubbers on them this weekend. But I don't know how hard or soft they should be. Should I be able to dent the rubber with a finger nail or should they be rock hard.

get some 1 to sit in your car with it runnin.....stick the bonnet up ....with the handbrake firmly on ...tell your helper to try & pull off in 1st ....just keep dipping & releasing the clutch .....you will see that the engine will be swaying from left to right ....but not too much ......if you look at the mounts with a torch you will see if 1 is split or badly worn .........if only 1 looks worse i really would recommend you change both .
