Talking DCCD part 2?

How does the new age DCCD manage to work with ABS? ...& can it be retro fitted to 'classic' Type R's/ RA's???

DCCD-A's got a sensor that disengages it when the brakes are applied.

I've given thought to using it on my old Legacy, or perhaps connecting the older style DCCD diff to the brake lamp to hopefully let me keep my ABS. Don't have the guts to go do it meself though... Wonder if someone else hasn't done it yet...

Sorry not be able to add anything really useful.

I wish it was easy - apparently, the harness gets lumped altogether which makes it hard to just swap 6MT and keep DCCD-A. You would probably need to transplant the whole STi over...

Not without considerable expense, probably more than what you would want to pay, and you have to remember that type R's and RA's didnt come with ABS.
It would be cheaper just to sell a type r or ra and get a new age with A-DCCD

I think ill just learn to drive properly!

pah to new age! ...it would probably cost as much to lose 200kg as it would to fit DCCD-A to a classic!
