Default starting probs ! Help !

just gone to move my scooby, and it starts but only for between 1 and 5 seconds, after that it runs very lumpy at about 100rpm(estimate) or dies completely.
Any ideas ?
I drove home from work earlier, everything seemed fine, and left it parked for about an hour and a quarter. Now its doing this and im a bit worried!

could be the water temp sensor, if this is bust then cold starts are a big problem, if you can keep it running and it goes away when the engine is warm then its your water temp sensor.
