Have heard a clicking from the car recently and I have located it to the boost solenoid. It is pretty loud, I can hear it from inside the car.
It only clicks when the throttle is open, and is most obvious when the throttle is open just a little bit (as the engine noise does not drown it out then).
This is not normal is it?

Hi, Roojai
Yeh mine is pretty loud. At first i thought it was more of a fluttery noise and spent ages messing with the bonnet scoop thinking it was that!
It is pretty anoying though.
Not long untill the wagon returns!

Hi Andy,
It should be nice to get your car back knowing it's all sorted, and a good time to get it back with this cold weather. Might be worth having a word with Pat on getting you a scoobyecu.

that is 100% normal.
it starts when you open the throttle (even just a bit) to click @ 96% to aid turbo spool up by bleeding boost pressure away from the wastegate. Then as boost rises it lowers the duty cycle, to allow more compressor pressure to get to the wastegate thus opening it more.
you should only worry if it does this at tick over with throttle shut (except some early wagons on a specific ecu code, as running with 0% duty at idle RPM causes low boost in low gears)
