Default Swishing water noise and boost gauge problem Defi's

After fitting some Defi's to my STI 8 on Saturday I now have a swishing water noise when I rev the engine whilst stationary sounds like its coming from behind the dash. I had to remove the top hose to put the water temp sensor in and am concerned I may have an airlock but the temp seems fine ( 90°c)
Also my boost gauge is fluttering about and goes up on deceleration, I took the pipe from the manifold is this wrong, seems like its reading vacuum ???

Anyone else had these problems ?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Jas

pipe from manifold is fine for boost gauge. It does read vacuum until you get on the turbo then it reads positive or boost pressure. Not sure about water noise tho' mate.

It seems **** backwards, it only goes up when I throttle off ( i.e. when the dump valve comes on song )

Is this where you took the boost line from?

This picture doesn't match up with the blob eyes, so others have put the T piece on the pipe connected to the BOV.

That's a classic in the picture, Ja has got an STi8. The gauge is working back to front from what he describes??

I've got Defis on my classic and they don't do that. Are you sure the turbo gauge is connected to the correct connector on the controller module?

I know, that's why I posted it.
There are quite a few pipes around the manifold area most of them the wrong one.
