Question just fitted knock link shud ?
right just fitted me knock link shud i have a green led that stop on all the time even when engine is not runing ?

Yes. It indicates the unit has power.

Yes, as soon as you turn the ignition on it will light but less bright than when you get any activity

Is it on with the engine off and keys removed? If so could be wired it to a permanent live instead of a switched live.
If not then the first green should be on all the time with the engine on.

thats cool then just a dim green light when on.

also when driving 2 green ones light up some times but when i change gear it goes up to red but i am yet to mess about with the settings on it..

Don't touch the settings......that's what a knocklink does, (well turn it back 1 at most) get it checked out you shouldn't be seeing any red lights.....

is strange how they only come on when changing gear. when hard accelaration i only get one green or may be two its when i change gear i get a flash up to red gear box noise may be ?

Should be no det etc then running with that, though be interesting to see what happens with a smooth gearchange

one green light on when engines runin no lights when engine is off i sometimes getfull flash of lights when hard driven but bad fuel can make it light up like a christmas tree

I was warned by Andy F when he installed my Commander not to worry about a blip on the knock reading when changing gear. If the sensor is in the normal place it is reasonably close to the gearbox remember.

yer mate is right next to the gear box so has to pick up some noise i shud think.

went right up to the red line with no red lights then change gear and its hello big red light lol
