Have MY 97 myself Bud. What u have there is piston Slap, common fault so im lead to be told. Have it myself on mine. long as it goes when it gets warm it won,t be a problem. Just dont thrash it untill u have done 4/5 miles and engine gets up to proper running temperature. If you want to check it, get a long screwdriver, start car up when cold, stand at front of car with bonnet open. Put screw driver on your engine on the right as you look at Engine on back cylinder nearest bulk head. Stick your ear to screw driver handle and u will hear that taping u are on about. Do search, loads of stuff on here about it.

When cold, run the car up, when turning off run the engine down.

DONT RAPE ENGINE WHEN COLD. But you shouldn,t do that to any engine anyway ?

SIDC say that its the my98 that suffer with this not 97, I've read something saying the same on here before.
