exhaust wrapping..
hiya ppl...
currently running magnex downpipe and full blitz nur spec r system at the moment. currently thinking about buying headers and an up pipe.. was wondering what ppl have done --- whether they have used exhaust wrap on the headers, uppipe and downpipe ??? worthwhile doing or not??

There are two good reasons to wrap Headers, up-pipe & down-pipe.
(a) Keeps the gases inside hotter which means they flow faster. Hence faster spool-up
(b) They give off less heat when wrapped. Hence less heat in engine bay. ( good if you still use a top mount ic, and cooler air being sucked in )
May help reduce noise a little too.

I used Megan headers and fitted today see here - http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=405155
Wrapped them with 50m of wrap from here - http://www.proven-products.co.uk/products/cooltek.htm
There was enough to do the headers, up-pipe and 1/2 of the downpipe
