Need Advise On Mod Chip Instalation
Is there anyone who could give some advise on where to fit a power module?
I recently bought a "+15bhp" high performance power module from e-bay
manufactured by Celox Performance, http://www.celoxperformance.com/
the instructions on the reverse of the packaging say It's to be instaled on the Air Temp (IAT) Sensor, now having not much technical experience on a Subaru engine (mine Is a 1994 'L' WRX Turbo)
I wouldn't know where to start looking for such a thing. I do have some crude diagrams which tell me I have a pressure sensor, mass air flow sensor, oxygen sensor, vehicle speed sensor, coolant temp sensor, throtle sensor, knock, cam and crankshaft sensor, but no Inlet air temp sensor. The packaging states that If there Is no (IAT) sensor, that It should be fitted to the engine coolant temp sensor.
I thought I'd seek some advise first to see if this thing is worth fitting, i've heard reviews from other people who have praised this chip on their cars.
This chip cost only £9.70 + P&P on e-bay, so If It doesn't work for the Subaru
(which the web site said it would) then there's no big deal.
Has anyone else here fitted this chip to their scooby? Any horror stories?

Buy a wide band o2 sensor and monitor your fueling (or get someone with one to monitor it). Good gains can be had out of a lot of cars by removing a percentage of the fuel. There are many cheap ways to do it also...
