Question Alarm Bracket (not security related)

Mine's snapped off. The siren was replaced about 1 yr ago, but this time it's the main bracket that's snapped.

Can you get replacements from a Dealer?

Hi Stefan. A long time since we last spoke regarding window closers!
You may still be able to get a replacement siren bracket from a dealer although we no longer produce these - the part number is SACC 3469. Depending on the age of the vehicle, the bracket may require a slight modification to make the mounting holes line up.
The brackets tended to snap as they were sometimes bent out of the way to access service items on the engine and then bent back.
I can e-mail to you a full list of part numbers (1999 to 2005) relating to securty system parts, if these may be of use to you or other members.

Hi, it has been a while; good to hear from you again. I'll check the Dealer with that part number thanks.

Failing that I might ask a m8 if he can fabricate one for me. Depends if Subaru want my arm and my leg

Cheers,
Stefan

Mine is now held on with pop rivets if that's any help.

You could always make one if your stuck...

2 to 1.5mm thick steel strip, drill, hacksaw, file, vice and a hammer

And some black hamerite to tart it up

Hi Ozzy,

Mine is the same - MY99, snapped off in exactly the same place. I enquired with my local dealer, IIRC it was around the £25 mark for a replacement. I plan to make a new one........

Cheers

I had the exact same thing happen on mine - no need for a new bracket etc

This is what I did

No problems with the alarm at all
