im after an sti intercooler as an upgrade from my current 95 slanty black one!
i know there is some work involved to fit it, and i keep seeing the odd one or two coming up for sale but which is the best one to get out of the sti 4, 5, and 6 versions and what are the differences does anyone know?
im after the most compatible out of the lot really!
thanks!

Hi mate
I've read quite a few topics regarding this lately. I am currently trying to work out how to fit a MY98 TMIC to my 94 car.
the 97/98 IC like the one I've got requires cutting off the DV elbow to clear the idle control valve and, by the looks of things, either cutting down the throttle body or modifying the IC. Later ICs off 99 cars onwards have a better DV situation which can be solved using a blanking plate but you still have the problem of the distance from the throttle body to the bulkhead to deal with.
There are some good threads in the projects section which really do help out a lot and give you some idea of what's required.

Mine will be for sale in a couple of weeks once I've got round to taking it off.
Let me know if you're interested.
It's off a MY99 STi (V5).
Not too sure about price yet but I'd be open to offers.
