Question connecting an oil pressure gauge ??????

Hi there, was looking into fitting and oil pressure gauge, is it an easy jub because i remember reading somewhere that the alternator gets in the way - if that is the case what is the solution and where can you get the adaptor to fit the sensor??????

Yeah,

The oil pressure location is under the alternator. The OEM sender is there, you remove that and replace it with the aftermarket one.

Have a look for the moderator Chiark usually found under the ice section. He has a very good website which details all this with pics.

I can't be sure.

When I had my MY00 I used this guide to fit my pressure gauge. The thread on the Autometer was different so I needed an adaptor. My latest scoob I fitted SPA gauges and that was a straight swop for the OEM sender.

Do a search on Defi's you might find more out.

The latest scoobymag has a full write up on boost, oil temp & oil pressure fitting. There is no mention of a need for any adaptors.

If you're not sure, be very careful when screwing the new pressure sender in to the block, you don't want to damage it if it's the wrong thread.
If you need adaptors/pipes/T pieces then Lemans Motorsport should be able to help you out, tell them what you want and they can make up extension pipes etc with the correct fittings.

You are quite correct. Remove the original sender leaving the adapter in the block and then screw the Defi sender into this. Don't forget the PTFE tape
