I have a UK Turbo MY99 Impreza wagon

I am changing my exhaust and fitting a panel filter.

Will the ECU cope?

What is the best chip to gain performance without ruining the engine?

Any tuners that people would recomend for rolling road and ECU set up?

Which is the best panel filter?

The std ECU will cope with a de-cat an filter

I would steer clear of "chips" and get an ECUTEK re-map @about £700
As for mappers Bob Rawle or Pat do ECUTEK, not sure about Andy F???
Depends where you live as to who is the most convenient

As for filters stick to a panel filter and you won't have any problems. Either K&N or a Green filter there are other but these seem the most popular.

 

Dont use a K&N.

The MAF won't like it, as it's covered in a fine oil which can upset them !

The Green cotton is best as it's dry.
