Question Knocklink again.......

Hi all

Is it normal for the knocklink to flash red on a hard gearchange?

Took the car for a spin at weekend and noticed at one point I got a flash of red on the knocklink after a hard gearchange into third (mate said I nearly broke his neck), this red flash has only happened once before and that was on a gearchange as well! If I dont change hard I dont get more than one green from 1000rpm all the way to 8000rpm? Is the bang of a gearchange picked up by the knocklink Mic or is it det?

Car is a standard 2001 P1 running optimax and NF octane booster.

Cheers guys!

If it's not happening when you change gear at the same rpm in a slightly less voilent fashion, I'd imagine it's the sound of the "enthusiastic" gearchange being detected by the knock sensor.
