WAS DRIVING HOME AND TURBO STOPPED?
HI Everyone,
Was just driving home, after a little blast the turbo stopped workin, the engin is running seet and smooth, the dump valvle stopped making the whossh sound?
the bosst gauge says negative 0.5 bar, wheh i rev it goes to 0. Any ideas?
P.
oh and full fuel tank

No funny noise, hose`s all on fine, the piston bailey dump valve still moves atc. just cant get over 80 mph,

What should a the boost gauge say on tick over? min just says -0.5 bar, then when i rev the engin it goes to 0,

The bar between the aluminium side of the turbo and the rusty cast iron side, usually sits under the heat shield above the turbo.
The rod has a bronze coloured capsule at one end which has a hose that goes to the boost control solenoid.
Grab this rod and see if it moves in and out ( some force needed! ) as this is what opens and closes the flap that keeps in the exhaust gas to spinn the turbo or lets it get away to stop blowing up!

whats a maf?
also got some brake cleaner to clean waste gate and solenoid on weekend, hopefully will do the trickl.
