Question Car possibly misfiring?

Ive just back from Elvington and to say the car was underperforming is an understatement.

First to second the car flew, as it always does. But when changing from second to third the car jerked quite violently, very hesitent and the gear lever shook quite aggressively too.

Last year my best times were 13.27 and 13.87.

Heres my pitiful efforts from today:

Run 1 - 14.90 @ 89mph 0-60ft 1.951
Run 2 - 14.73 @ 90mph 0-60ft 1.946
Run 3 - 15.02 @ 90mph 0-60ft 2.203
Run 4 - 14.67 @ 97mph 0-60ft 1.937
Run 5 - 14.78 @ 98mph 0-60ft 1.997
Run 6 - 14.87 @ 90mph 0-60ft 1.979
Run 7 - 15.53 @ 89mph 0-60ft 2.199

Ive been told it may be the plugs as it sounds like the car is misfiring. So that will be the first thing ill be looking at, ill probably change the leads while im at it.

Can anyone think of anything else that could be wrong or any other suggestions?

The cars a MY00 PPP with a couple of extras.

Definately check the plugs, an electrode may be carbonised making a feeble spark, then I'd check the vacuum/boost hoses.

My car JDM MY'96 WRX suffered from poor boost and felt like it was misfiring, but when I changed the small bore hoses to silicone hoses, the car felt like it was given a new lease of life, the car is still not 100%, but I've still got to check the turbo hoses and replace the intercooler gaskets

Cause found.

Its definatly the spark plugs causing it to misfire. I went down the bypass earlier and at about 3k it starts misfiring and isnt a happy bunny. I thought it was only happening in 3rd gear but i accelerated slowly in every gear and theyre all the same.

It has NGK PFR6B's at the moment but im replacing with NGK PFR7B's. Should give a better spark and theyre recommended for modified anyway.
