Default Intercooler supports

Are the intercooler supports from a MY99 different to those on a MY93? I'm about to start a little project and need to know.

The early cars (up to My97 facelift) had the 'slant' TMIC.
After 96/97 the TMIC was 'square' to the inlet manifold, not slanted.
I doubt that the brackets are the same, but could be modified I'm sure.

Search for the info on this section on the subject as it's been well covered in the past.

Graham.

Yes they are different, they bolt up in different places to start with.

Cool just fitted TMIC yesterday

I have just fitted a 98 TMIC to my 95 wrx...mountings are different , but easy enough to make some new brackets...just need a bit of angle iron thats all.
Took me about 6 hours to fit IC , not just a simple job...need to cut throttle body down and IC outlet down by about 6-8mm ...and also modify bulkhead so that it will fit.
Then need to blank dump valve fitment hole on ic and make new pipework for turbo to ic so dump valve can fit it.
I got 2 samco hoses , one off early model and one off later and made one good one out of the 2.
Good luck
Karl
