MY 97 WRX RA
Help please,
I have looked at a 97 WRX RA tonight, it did'nt have the roof vent. should it have strut braces and red manifold?
The ID plate states a GC8D47D which is a WRX RA, so what is the spec for it?
It did have the intercooler water spray and STI marked speedo, but I could not see the diff control.
Can someone help?
Cheers,
Lee.

I have one of these, close ratio gearbox, 4.444 diffs, LSD in the back, VF22 Turbo, about 120mph max but mega acceleration around about 4.5 secs 0>60. No electrical goodies, thin sound insulation, water spray, no underseal, the lightest scooby made and about 280 PS , Oh and one other thing it is a heavy heavy drinker of optimax.
Built to enjoy and thrill just like the others.

As im led to beleive the ra only had viscous diffs, in stead of a plated rear, electric centre and viscous front as on the sti's. stuff like central locking was still an option on the RA series as i have an sti-ra with a roof vent and electric diff and to my suprise when i collected it also central locking!!!!!!
but were only talking performance goodies here so according to the subaru data for your year of car (an RA) 280ps, viscous diffs, alluminium panels.
hope this helps

I bought the car I was looking at last night, P reg WRX RA, 46,000K just had engine fully rebuilt at Scoobytek end of last, rear wing fitted, central locking, aircon for £6500, car was first bought in the Essex area.
A lot quicker than my five door.
