i'd be hoping for more than that if it was my car,i would have thought that because you also have the sti intercooler you'de be looking at 280 ish,i get that figure from what i've read on here since i've been a member,i'm beginning to think most figures talked on here about tek3 remaps is a load of rubbish,i'm getting my my01 remapped soon when scoobyclinic get back to me and i'm hoping for close to 270bhp,i have full de-cat,samco hoses, itg panel filter.i thought about getting hold of a sti intercooler but didn't think it justified the £300 extra outlay if you could find one second hand.i've also read on here that the newage tends to have more of a gain than the classics when having a remap and a few classics tend to be round the 260 mark.why doesn't someone start a poll on figures gained with mods after remap remap?? it would probably clear the myth's from the facts.

my 2000 turbo with only a de-cat and tek2 went from 218 to 274bhp
I Now have an 02sti went from 265 to 328bhp with de-cat,Fuel pump and tek3.
I guess your looking at 270 to 280 bhp,To be honest its the way the power is delivered that i found to be much better rather than the all out power gain.

can anyone explain the huge difference's between outputs of people with remaps??,is it the mappers just not wanting to squeeze more power out due to things like mileage, poor maintained car, slight knock or is it just rolling road differences??as i said earlier i'm getting mine done very shortly and was gonna keep it standard but was advised to change a few things to get the full benefits so i have made sure everything is right as in full de-cat,samco hoses, panel filter,pfr7 plugs, pro s oil, knock link, boost gauge.now after these extra few things if i was to get 265bhp i'd be rather miffed when for example 'turbotits' de-cats his car and gets 274bhp off a tek2.

i spoke to andy f he has a 2003 wrx with the same modes i have on my 2002 and his car is running at 290 bhp on super unleaded fuel and 300 bhp with the octane booster in the fuel, so if i could reach these figures with my 2002 i would be quite happy. Will let yous know how i get on with my remap tommorow night cheers Mo Mo

Each car is very individual and I would rely on the expertise of the mapper to offer a tailored map for each car !!
I have "almost" the same spec as another Scooby member but the cars had to mapped individually so mine came out at 356 BHP and the other at 404 BHP !!
I'm not bothered a bit as it has been mapped properly, starts every day, does not judder, cough etc, ferries the kids to Tesco when needed, is driven by the wife ..
BUT
when asked carves through the Cumbrian Traffic
It does exactly what the mapper printed on the tin........irrespective of BHP !!
Shaun
PS mapped by Bob "guru" Rawle

got the car remaped by andy f yesterday the car is mutch more responsive feels like a diffrent car very happy with it.Andy thought it would be sitting around 280 bhp but said the powertek air filter i had on was holding it back,so the next step is td04 hybrid and standard air box back on with an sti pannel filter then should be around the 320bhp mark cheers MO MO

Nice one MOMO Also look at getting the proper undertray for your scoop to intercooler, you will notice the difference especially once the weather warms up (if that ever happens brrrr )

I was up with Andy yesterday too He's mapped my car (JDM STi) about half a dozen times, mainly because his re-maps are not silly money. The first time, with the new Apexi fitted, the car actually ended up slightly down on power BUT it was then safe, with Knock activity almost eliminated and no need for octane booster.
As Midlife says, each car's individual. the mapper should extract what's 'safely' available for the individuals needs. I do 25K - 30K miles a year so need steady reliable workhorse as well as being a fun/track day car. Only ever used Andy, IMO he gives good advice, recommendations and suggestions as in what to do next without feeling pressured into buying loads of bits.
Mark6, do yourself a favour and take a drive up to Edinburgh to see Andy, the drive home will be more than worth the trip . IMHO

Simple rule,
Push the car and parts to their limits and your going to seriously reduce the life of those parts, you want 280bbp, buy and sti as it wont be straining it anywhere near as much.
You need to also keep an eye out on the levels of torque, higher torque will kill gearboxes and clutches, no matter what anyone says, they will go quicker than if not touched at all.
