Is this my boost solenoid valve??

I want to clean my boost solonoid out with carb cleaner - Is this the right thing - The green one? Also what is the other bit that is under it on the right of the piture? It is not very clear!!!

The other bit - You cant really see it from the picture but it sits on the same plate and has a small piece of tubing connected to it.

Disconnet the two pipes and spray it into the solenoid itself... Best to also put the relays into test mode by conencting the green connectors together under the dash - the solenoid will click away then... I'm sure there are detailed instructions on here for this procedure if you use the search.

Put the car into diagnostic mode - ie connect the green plugs near the pedals or sterring column - then turn the ignition on - it should click away. pull off the two hoses (3 for older cars) and spray brake or carb cleaner in there whilst it clicks.
Is clutch and brake cleaner OK though? I have some of that and have just bought the carb cleaner - If I can take it back will be a few quid!!!!
