I have a 94 Import WRX-STI (ltd 100) with a rotten backbox.

I've ordered a magnex backbox only to find it's the wrong sort, however I've been told there is only 1 sort and that I must have a non-standard exhaust fitted. I've checked my exhaust out and everything seems genuine, proper joins/flanges etc and it also features the STI logo stamped on to the back box.

The problem is my backbox only has a couple of inches of pipe before it is connected to the centre pipe, shown on the attached pic in green, however the so called std exhaust has a couple of feet of piping coming out from the backbox and joins as shown by the red circle.

So basically does anybody know if my exhaust is a genuine STI fitted exhaust, if it is, does anybody know where I can buy a new backbox from, also if anybodies got any diagrams of it would be a great help.

Wierd indeed. My WRX backbox and the STi one I got to replace it join at the red circle. Why not just get a new decat pipe and new downpipe.
