Stock Boost for STi2
I was wondering what is the standard boost on a '96 import STi2.
There are times on full boost where the reading is 0.8 bar and other times where the reading gets stack to 0.5~0.6 Bar.
Is that normal?If not why is the car loosing pressure on full boost.
I had new plugs and full service recently.
Please help!!!

Sti should be nearer 1.1 bar, sounds like it may be going into safe mode due to detonation.
Is it a wagon? not sure if they were as high boost wise as the 4 door.
Do a diagnostic check first, http://www.saxonfields.freeserve.co....iag%20Page.htm
See what the error codes are, it doens't always show a check engine light unless something is very bad and stays that way.

i do not know whether your model have got a boost solenoid valve near the firewall
its seem to be the problem as i have play with the voltage in the end from a 1 bar i got 0.5. with a 5 gear engage i got 1.4bar back to 1 bar but with the hook up only 0.5 all the way.

The car is a 4 door sallon and I am always running Optimax + NF Race Octane........I would be very surprised if I got detonation from the engine.......I will check the error code though just to make sure.
