WIPERS gone mad!
In the last couple of weeks, my wipers have got a little lively. I've replaced the blades, but no difference.....
I'm off to the dealers on Thursday with another issue, but anyone know why the wipers would suddenly start "slapping" the bottom of the windscreen, if the screen is wet, even on intermittent wipe they slap, and on full speed they sound like they may come off! If the screen is dry, the wipers stop about three inches from the bottom of the screen.
My guesses are either the motor is on it's way out, or somehow the arms are bent? Anyone confirm these theories or other better ones?
Cheers

how far do they go up? to the far side of the screen on the drivers? if so then the linkage bushes may be worn, if they dont, take the arms off and re-position a few splines up, if they do, change the rack I'm affraid, the motor should be fine, as it doesnt alter the sweep, the linkage does that.
