youd need to change whatever pulley on the engine that has the belt to drive the pump, i bet that needs a special locking tool and removal tool to be done. an aircon pump bracket and a pump, them probably a different air intake and pipes to the interior, also a different switch to the dash, fuses and relays to fit........

you can get a company to fit a non factory auxillary one probably but its going to be difficult.

Any dealer should be able to fit it for you - aircon used to be a dealer fit option on all classics. Not cheap mind, don't expect any change from £1000.

pulley is already there!
i fitted air con to MY00.
£1000 up for dealer fit but they used to sub it out!
i used second hand parts cost about £300 for kit , £60 for gassing and most of skin on my left hand!
but worth effort.
annoyed about the £60 gassing as i do it myself now!

I've just managed it! Saturday is the day I find out if it works as I'm going to have it gassed. I did have some help from a friend who knows his stuff but with a bit of effort you could do it. It's cost me just under £300 so far.

It's peasy to retro fit as long as you have ALL the bits & the correct dash switch. Shouldn't take more than a couple of hours to do.
