Default New Plugs

Had some Denso plugs fitted on Friday. Suppsed to be correct for the car (93 WRX). Ran ok for a while, but as it got hotter, started missing. For the last couple of miles, I had to gun it in 2nd just to keep the car going. This seems a bit extreme for just not having the perfect plugs (will fit some NGK PFR7B though I think). Can't see any damage to the coil packs, but is it likely to be them? They seems bl**dy expensive!

Also, I've got the I/C off. Is it worth replacing the intake pipe with a Samco on early models?

cheers

Were the plugs gapped correctly ? Should be 0.7 mm or slightly less if your running big boost. Samco's again depending on boost levels

Not sure, will remove and check. Did say on box not to gap them, but I suppose they need to cover themselves.
Big boost? Not seen 0.7bar yet!

0.7 is the gap to use then. If your not planning more than around 1 bar I would save your money and not bother with the Samco's
