Default Air con - mod to stay on??

Driving my newage yesterday, I noticed that the air con doesn't stay permanently cold - it seems to cut in and out (even though the light stays on).

Does anyone know if this could be altered cos I would like it to push cold air out constantly...I'm sure its not a fault with the car (it's only the first time I've really used it from new for any extended period of time).

Take a look at this thread.... http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=435809

Sounds to me like the newage AC is showing a few flaws

I know on the older models that when you had wide open throttle, it automatically disconnected the air con to give you more power, then when you lift off, re-engaged the compressor. Not sure of they still do this, but see no reason why not, so perhaps this could explain it...

Yeah I was aware of this - but I'm talking about cruising at, say 60mph
