What colour should the fluid in the Coolant resovoir be

I opened the coolant resovoir today and the fluid was brown, Is this alright, i always though coolant was red or blue?

On a 97 sti type r by the way

Could be various colours, mine has been green or blue, but always a bright colour. When was the last time you changed the coolant? I normally change mine every two years.Andy

Thats a good piont, last time was proberly 2 years ago or more. Ill get it dona asap i think to be sure.
