Ecu remap for imports
Hi,
Being a newbie with our S-turbo Forester this can be a silly qustion to you all. But is it really necesary for an import motor to run on optimax plus an octane booster to keep motor running healty.
Is there a way to remap to ecu to uk fuel so i can fill it up any where not just Shell. If so where can i get it done in the surrey area and how much? I dont mind loosing too much performance cause the wife drives the car most of the time. She just cant be bothered gassing up at Shell all the time. Or is it just ok with ordinary unleaded plus some millers.
Any reply will be appreaciated.

From: back from, and now plotting to return to, Nordschleife
does your forester have a S-Turbo or a or a S/tb badge of the rear?
S-Turbo's are UK cars and dont need remapping .
If it's a S/tb import then just get her to use super unleaded rather than cheapo crap and she'll be fine IMHO unless she is the sort of driver that kick's the cars head in all the time?
