Advice on Boost/Fuel Cut?

Advice on Boost/Fuel Cut?
I have a MY97 UK turbo wagon. It is totally standard apart from a recently fitted JR air filter and Manual boost controller. (always run Optimax fuel too)
I'm well pleased with the boost controller already, I used to get anywhere from 10 to 14 psi depending on which gear I was in and how the weather was, now I get 15 psi in all gears at all times with good spool up.
Just wondering how far I can go with this? I read somewhere on here that fuel cut is at around 15psi on my car - is this true, or is it nearer 17psi?
Also, can I rely on fuel cut as an indication of when I've gone too far? I've been too tight to buy an AFR meter so far, so have no real idea of whether I'm pushing the limit of the fueling capabilities of the standard setup.
Advice appreciated........

There are plenty of people far better qualified to answer this than me. However, I would at least get it set up and tested by the likes of Power Engineering - my first quest for boost very nearly ended in tears - and that was a bleedin' Volvo!
