Has anyone got or purchased one of these meters? Are they any good or are they just a gimmick?

I got one the other day, they look the biz but are very hard to set-up, i still havent properly carried out the functions, the bracket is too stiff to use for quick tests eg: when inputting weight. But when properly set-up would be a great gadget!

IMO
They look very cheap, they have a crappy red plastic perspex peice over the display which doesnt have the best of fits!
I find it very hard to select the function you wish to measure as it doesnt always respond.
Ive measured a 0-60 time of 5.54 two up on a back road, and .2 g's when giving some on back roads.

The ones on ebay are cheap because they are an older version of the unit, the current version does look a lot higher quality and has a bigger display:

plus the RR model can download the data to the PC.
However, the ebay ones are MUCH cheaper than the current model, and for the basic measurements may be just as good...
