De-cat and MOT ?
#3
or find a friendly MOT tester my local garage passed my STi 4 as there wasnt a match in the book therefore couldnt perform a cat test but failing that as already said just refit the catted downpipe,it will sail through unless you have an MY93-95 then it will go through anyway

ok so i guess some of you are just lucky either that or i wanna know a garage like that scooby-tc !
basically then if you de-cat u need to re-fit it every year for the MOT , wont this effect the timing and general running of the car though or does the ECU auto adjust it all ?

Most just re-fit the one in the centre pipe as it's a ten minute job to do so, it should pass. It is important to get it hot so make sure you go on a good run before arriving at the MoT station.
For the half hour or so its fitted it won't effect the running of the car, just means you have a bit more restriction in the exhaust than usual so the turbo won't be quite as eager to spool.

i had my middle section out, on my '94 CLASSIC & my friendly mechanic passed it, BUT said it should have failed..
ive now have a FULLY DE-CAT system so i think it will fail,
i'll have to give him a SLY drink...... (also helps he drive a SCOOBY aswell.
or im BUGGERED....
