Default Floor it or feed it..?

Which is better, flooring the gas pedal (I mean straight to the metal) or progressively pressing it all the way down..?

I'm talking about straight line acceleration and say from about 2500-3000rpm on, in 3rd or higher.

Is there any difference, and what method do you use..?

Stupid question I know, but it's one of them things you think of on long journeys when you have exhausted all reasonable avenues of thought in an attempt to stay awake..!

No so much 'bog down', just pick up doesn't seem as quick as a steady press of the gogo pedal.

More at lower revs than mentioned above to be honest, didn't read the post properly.

Has to be fully open surely. More airflow, more fuel, bigger bang, faster turbo spool up etc. etc.

some cars react differently but if it is running correct with no timing or pinking issudes then foot down and the ecu will do the rest.

IMO Flooring it seems to have a strangling effect. I always accelerate progressively, on and off the strip.

Just get in the car and try it man!
