Anybody recommend a good Subaru dealer in the southeast please.

I guess I need a mechanic experienced in understanding the car and how the different sensors affect performance.

Basically its running very hesitant off boost at approx 2.5K revs from a cold start.

Seems fine either on boost or when warmed up.

I have been to my nearest dealer three times now with the same problem and they still don’t seem to be able to solve it. Had a new maf sensor, lamda sensor, new plugs and leads. I think they are just basically guessing now.

New plugs and leads cost me £169 including road testing and fault finding as they are non-warranty items so their guesswork could start getting costly.

In addition to the above I have cleaned my boost solenoid and fitted a nice new clean air filter too.

The car is still covered by extended warranty but it runs out in a couple of months so I would like to get it resolved soon.

Thanks Graham.

Thanks Guys,

Was hoping to find a good main dealer (if possible) as the car is still under extended warranty.

Once the warranty has run out I doubt I will continue to use main Subaru dealers so useful to know for future reference.

Graham.

Thumbs up

I was also looking for a mechanic last Friday in the South East, Barretts in Canterbury was closed (again) only 5 miles form my house as well!

Eventually phoned Len at Subaru4u!
Went there today and I was well impressed, he was actually at work which is more than can be said for Barretts and he is almost half the price (Hourly rate £35)

Booked in again next week to get more mods done! Bit of a trek from Canterbury to Newbury but well worth it,would recomend him to anyone.

Will be going there from now on!

Top Bloke!
