Boost dropped off since reset of ECU
Evenin
I was having spike and fuel cut issues and that is why I have reset the ECU, but on the way to work it just would not boost over 0.4 (on my gauge) usually it does this after a spike and then after a few minutes of foot down will suddenly boost more again.
The car is now permanently stuck in the Fuel cut mode it seems, with no light or sensor indication warning when I reset it.
I wonder if any of you have any thoughts on my boost problem please.
Cheers
ANYONE ???

on my remapped MY02 there is a function like that which kicks in after an ECU reset. However if you go to full boost, hold the acceleration, and hit the Rear Window defrost button, the full boost map then kicks in again and normal service is resumed
it's like a limp home mode or something
try it, who knows
cheers

Simon, what mods are there on the car - any ECU tricks - superchip, scoobyecu etc ?
If you were having boost spikes and fuel cuts you were running higher than usual boost ( like 17 PSI plus ) and / or some other problems.
The ECU reset will have cleared any learning from the OEM ecu, so if something had changed ( read: failed / failing ) and the ecu had compensated for it, then the ecu reset would have lost that learnt data.
May be a MAF failing ( usual choice!! ) or Lambda, but the spikes and surges are not usually associated with those failures ( maybe surges tho' ).?
I'd suggest you pop it into a friendly Subaru dealer or specialist who can read out any errors on the ecu and test the various sensors like MAF, Lambda etc.
